The contents of this blog do not reflect the opinions of the US government or Peace Corps.
Because of that it should be kind of fun to read.

Jessica began her Peace Corps experience in January of 2008. She is in the west African country of Niger, which is a pretty isolated part of the world. She has little access to computers, and the mail is slow. I (the MOM) blog her letters and occasional emails, and try to keep my voice out of it.

Back home in the USA. No more mail to Jessica in Niger.
Kerry, these are absolutely beautiful. They take me back to Mendi and all our photogenic kids there! What is it about a camera that brings out the smiles?! Can't wait to hear more of your trip.
HI folks! We are back from our trip to Niger, but actually this post is all Jessica's photography. I scheduled all of the last 3 weeks'posts before leaving, and as usual, all of the work/words are hers (unless otherwise stated) Aren't these cool photos, taken on her tough little Olympus camera?
Since this blog is really Jessica's, I will probably write about our trip on Ed and Reub, not here. First though, I have to shake the jet-lag...

Kerry, how wonderful that you got to visit Jessica - and maybe especially that you got to see her in her African life / setting.
More great pictures. And such a story they tell.
Kid pictures are always fascinating, as long as they are happy and healthy. So many news articles from Africa are horrible.
