On TV!

This footage, a little blurry, was taken at the Peace Corps swearing-in ceremony in Niamey, March 15, 2008, and broadcast on Nigerien TV. It is about a minute and a half long, and towards the end there is an interview with Jessica, speaking her newly-acquired language, Hausa.

Impressive fluency for a volunteer who just learned such a FOREIGN language (it couldn't be more foreign!). And I know. I am from Niger

This is so incredible. She looks so confident.

I am so happy to now have this blog bookmarked to keep up with Jessica and to pass along the news to Manuela. I know she'd LOVE to see this video as well!
